I have regular medium size feet and it fits me well. The sole is thick and for me, has enough support, albeit very firm bed. It does have some weight and it took me some time, maybe an hour, to get used to. The weight comes from the thick sole, which tapers from 3/4" to 1.5" so it gives a bit of a height. I wonder if that insulates your feet from the snow.I wore it for a day and I was walking outside and inside. After 11 hours of wear, I was so ready to remove it. Ecco typically has firm supports (vs the cushy type) and I'm not sure if it's my feet. I'm thinking it maybe it's a different type of heel and different feet/calf muscles are used. I may not wear them again on days that I have to walk/stand a lot just because of the weight. Could it helps burns calories...sneakers are still more comfortable.The insert is built in and not removable - of that matters to you. If you put an orthotic in, it could be a tight fit. I had thin socks but they kept my feet warm. The sole is made of wool and it says the inside is real lamb fur.I do love the look/ design, in terms of the feet shape from the top and the way the rubber behind cuts through the suedy material on the side. I think they look better than Uggs (google 'ukiuk'). I got them to wear in the snow though I yet have to try these in snow conditions. 4 stars mainly for the look. Aging feet gives it a 3.5 - could have used a bit more cushion. I still see myself wearing them a lot.Excellent and true to size. Appear well made with real suede leather. I ordered a size larger to accommodate a shearling insole I added and now they're extremely warm and cozy! I just wish these were made also at knee high level!!!I really want to like this boots since it is very warm, functional and looks much better than the Ugg. However, the stitching where the leather piece is connected to the shearling constantly rub against my ankle when I walk and caused blisters. It created a lot of discomfort for me to a point I couldn't wear it anymore even after I stick a heel cushion on.Very comfy but they run wide. I have narrow feet so this is often a problem for me but these seem wider than usual medium width boots.These boots are attractive and comfortable. And, they look great.The warmest boots! Very beautiful and stylish! They keep the feet very warm and dry because of the lamb fur and sheep leather. It happens to transfer the color onto the socks if you wear white socks but that.s not so important compared to the benefits they bring. I strongly recommemd them during the winter even at minus 15 Celsius you dont feel the cold.
